Media not showing in Media Library

In WordPress “Settings” menu, check if Media Deduper appears. If so, tick “Disable Duplicate Upload Blocking?” and press “Save Changes”.

You may come across this issue when the site was originally set up using the default WordPress upload folder rules of /Year/Month/…

If you cannot find the image by searching the name, this is likely because the image is in a different folder and the Media Library search is not picking it up.

Other Options:

• Add the ability to search by ID, then search the ID and delete the image.
• Run Tools > Regenerate Thumbnails > Select option for all images (not just featured) – still waiting to see if this works.
